Flames Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
In just two games, the Flames turned Vancouver's season from high-flying to tense. Back-to-back wins over the Canucks left Vancouver suddenly wary of a losing skid after heading into the home-and-home series with Calgary on an impressive 8-0-2 run.
Next for the Flames is an opportunity to keep the struggling Dallas Stars where they are—at the bottom of the entire league.
To do it Tuesday night at home, the Flames shouldn't change a thing. Since the 6-1 drubbing they received at the hands of the San Jose Sharks on Nov. 13, the Flames have won five of six games to climb near the top of the Northwest Division standings. They've done it with strong special teams play, continued scoring from all lines and better goaltending. Most important, though, has... |
Flames beat Canucks 3-1 to keep pace in Northwest (AP)

Daymond Langkow and the Calgary Flames cut the Vancouver Canucks' division lead to just a point with a home-and-home sweep. Langkow scored the pivotal first goal in the Flames' 3-1 victory over the Canucks on Saturday night, deflecting Dion Phaneuf's rising snap shot from the blue line past rookie goalie Cory Schneider on a power play late in the second period.

Cammalleri leads Flames past Canucks (AP)

Michael Cammalleri thanked Jarome Iginla for his first career hat trick -- and Curtis Glencross for making it worth celebrating. Cammalleri scored three times -- the last two on perfect passes from new linemate Iginla -- and Glencross added the winner on a breakaway with 6:31 left in the Calgary Flames' 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night.

Flames forward Rene Bourque scores 2 in 6-2 win (AP)

Rene Bourque and Curtis Glencross were brought to Calgary over the summer to boost the Flames' secondary scoring. So far, they're delivering. Bourque scored twice Tuesday night and Glencross added a goal and two assists to lead Flames to a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings. The third member of that trio, Craig Conroy, chipped in with three assists as the Flames' third line played as if it was...

Conklin stops 31 shots, helps Wings to 5-2 win (AP)

Jiri Hudler is a big reason why the Detroit Red Wings are unbeaten in regulation during November. Hudler scored the winning goal and had an assist as the Wings beat the Calgary Flames 5-2 on Saturday night for their fifth straight victory. "It's a bit of luck," said Hudler, who jumped off the bench as the extra attacker and fired a feed from Henrik Zetterberg into the top corner over goalie Miikka...

Kiprusoff makes 18 saves in Flames' 1-0 win (AP)

Miikka Kiprusoff and the Calgary Flames are having a lot of fun at the Colorado Avalanche's expense. Kiprusoff made 18 saves for his second shutout of the season, and Daymond Langkow scored his fifth goal in Calgary's 1-0 victory over Colorado on Thursday night. The Flames started the month with five losses in their first eight games, including a 6-1 setback in San Jose on Nov.

Flames fire 51 shots in 4-1 win over Avalanche (AP)

The Calgary Flames were determined to find a way to turn around their rough November, no matter how hard Peter Budaj made it for them. The Flames overcame a 47-save performance by Budaj and earned a 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night. Calgary, which improved to 4-5 in November, had lost five of seven before Tuesday -- including an embarrassing 6-1 defeat in San Jose last week.
