Devils Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

When Brian Gionta talked about the Devils' five-game winning streak after they beat Florida the other night, he said his team had actually been playing "good hockey" for the past 10 games, not just the five.

The Devils had actually lost four of those five games, but the general feeling was the club played well enough to win more of those games—the effort, the execution, was there.

Saturday night at Pittsburgh, playing the third of five straight road games, New Jersey reverted to some of the problems it tends to have on occasion: becoming spectators and forgetting to work hard enough to win a hockey game. At least that's the way it was for the first two periods, when the Devils fell behind 3-0 and had no chance of catching up.

Thus, the end of the winning...
